It began many years ago as a group gathered after a day at a LeadingAge conference. Through an evening of thought-provoking conversation, we (Bill Snyder and Kim Daly Nobbs) found that we were kindreds. We were committed to grounding our work, whatever the work, in well-identified and articulated values.
Integrated, Culture-Aligned Solutions
Since that time, we have each brought that values-centered perspective to our experiences. We have served both as leaders in provider organizations and as consultants. Invited to form Greenstone Mosaic, a consultancy of Greenstone Living, we came together, bringing a commitment to offering a menu of integrated services to support the overall wellness of organizations, their systems, and the people in them.
Greenstone Mosaic blends collective experience into offerings in the areas of Culture, Leadership Governance, Organizational and Brand Alignment, and Strategy. We bring a whole-organization frame to our work, rooted in a client’s values, mission/purpose, and vision.
Many of us know that success is about more than financial results. It’s about mission and purpose. It’s about building and nurturing a cohesive culture, deeply embraced and consistently communicated in word and deed. Success is reflected in an organization’s approach to leadership, governance, strategy, and day-to-day policies, practices, and decisions.
Inclusive, People-centered Focus
And it all starts with people. Ensuring that organizational values drive selection, orientation, and ongoing development of team members, team leaders, and board members is key to creating an integrated, foundational culture from which all strategy and activity flow.
In our work, both within organizations and in the larger community, we seek to support and design initiatives to be inclusive. We know that when all voices are heard, engagement, innovation, and productivity tend to grow.
Centered on Values, Yours and Ours
As Greenstone Mosaic developed, the first task was to define organizational values in order to build a foundation upon which to better serve our clients. After some deep discussion and powerful insights from others, we landed on these five: Agility, Courage, Significance, Vision, and Alliance.
Through this blog, Greenstone Mosaic will be sharing more about our values and about how we’ve seen the transformational power of a values-driven approach at work in other organizations. We also hope to create conversation with other kindred leaders as we all strive to leave this world better than we found it.
